Low Temperature Synthetic Hair

Low temperature hair is a lightweight synthetic fibre that is perfect for creating soft waves, braids and textured styles.

This type of fibre is ideal for:

  • Bubble braids

Low temperature hair should not be styled with hot tools like straighteners or curling irons, as heat can damage the fibre. However, it holds its shape beautifully and is designed to keep its style with minimal maintenance.

High Temperature Synthetic Hair

High temperature hair fibres are designed to be more heat resistant, which allows them to be styled with heated tools at low to medium temperatures.

Many of these fibres are based on Kanekalon, a premium synthetic fibre commonly used for braiding hair and extensions. Kanekalon is known for its soft texture, natural look and durability, making it perfect for:

  • Sleek straight ponytails
  • Wavy styles and ponytails
  • Pastel ponytails

If you do choose to use heat tools on high temperature fibres, always keep the temperature low (around 120–160°C) and test a small section first.

How To Care For Your Ponytail

Festival hair is designed to be reusable, and with the right care you can wear your ponytail many times.

After Wearing

After use, gently brush through the hair with a wide tooth comb or soft brush to remove any tangles.

Always start brushing from the ends and work upwards to prevent pulling.

Washing Your Ponytail

If your ponytail needs refreshing:

  1. Fill a bowl with cool or lukewarm water
  2. Add a small amount of mild shampoo
  3. Gently swish the ponytail through the water
  4. Rinse with clean water
  5. Leave to air dry naturally

Avoid rubbing, twisting or wringing the hair.

Storage

To keep your ponytail looking its best:

  • Store it in a dry place
  • Keep it in a hair bag or box
  • Avoid crushing or folding the hair for long periods

Proper storage will help maintain the shape and style.

A Little Reminder

All Braid The Rainbow pieces are handmade, which means every ponytail is unique. Slight variations in braid pattern, colour placement or texture are completely normal and part of the magic of handmade festival hair.

With the right care, your ponytail will be ready to sparkle again and again ✨

If you have any questions about your ponytail or styling tips, feel free to get in touch.
