How To Attach Your Ponytail
Attaching your Braid The Rainbow ponytail is quick and easy. Each ponytail is designed to be secure, comfortable and perfect for festivals, parties and events.
Follow the steps below to create your colourful look.
Step 1 – Put Your Hair in a Bun
Start by tying your natural hair into a tight bun or small ponytail where you want the extension to sit.
For most looks, a high ponytail works best to give that full festival style.
Use a strong hair tie to make sure it feels secure.
Step 2 – Attach the Ponytail
Your Braid The Rainbow ponytail comes with a wraparound attachment.
1. Place the ponytail base over your bun.
2. Secure it using the comb or hair grip if included.
3. Wrap the hair strand around the base to hide your bun.
Step 3 – Secure the Wrap
Once the wrap is around the base:
- Use bobby pins or hair grips to secure it.
- Tuck the end of the wrap underneath the ponytail.
This keeps everything looking seamless and natural.
Step 4 – Fluff & Style
Now the fun part!
Gently separate the fibres and adjust the ponytail until you’re happy with the volume and shape.
Your festival ponytail is ready to wear! 🌈

How To Style Festival Ponytails
Festival ponytails are a fun and easy way to add instant colour, volume and personality to your hair. Whether you're heading to a festival, rave, party or special event, there are so many ways to style your Braid The Rainbow ponytail to create a unique look.
Here are some of our favourite festival styling ideas.
High Festival Ponytail
The classic festival look.
Tie your natural hair into a high ponytail or bun and attach your extension on top. This creates a long, voluminous ponytail that moves beautifully while dancing and shows off all the colour in the hair.
Perfect for:
- Festivals
- Raves
- Parties
Bubble Braid Ponytail
Bubble braids are one of the most popular festival hairstyles.
Once your ponytail is attached, add clear hair ties every few inches down the length of the ponytail. Gently pull the sections between each tie to create the bubble effect.
Perfect for:
- Fun festival looks
- Colourful Instagram styles
- Statement hairstyles
Half-Up Festival Ponytail
For a softer look, try a half-up style.
Take the top section of your hair and create a small ponytail or bun, then attach your extension to that section. This gives you length and volume while still leaving some natural hair down.
Perfect for:
- Boho festival outfits
- Pastel or mermaid styles
- Day festivals
Braided Ponytail
Braids look amazing with colourful festival hair.
Attach your ponytail first, then create a large loose braid using the extension. This style shows off the colour blends beautifully and keeps the hair neat all day.
Perfect for:
- Long festival days
- Active events
- Windy weather
Glitter & Accessory Ponytail
Take your ponytail to the next level with festival accessories.
Add things like:
- Hair glitter
- Gems
- Clips
- Rings or charms in braids
These little details make your ponytail look even more magical and festival-ready.
